ZSentry Secure Certified Mail
Secure Document Delivery & Notarization
HIPAA / HITECH Safe Harbor / SOX

ZSentry Certified Mail provides full support for secure delivery and online notarization of documents. All ZSentry timestamps are referenced to the US NIST atomic clock time.

Server Send Receipt
(if activated) Provides evidence of sending, with When, Where, How, What, and to Whom information. Selected by activating the Secure Vault archiver, whereby a copy of the Server Send Receipt is included in the Secure Vault copy (also called BCC).

Return Receipt
(if activated) When the recipient opens your message, a Return Receipt is sent back to you, with When, Where, How, What, and by Whom information at the time your message is read. You can compare the Return Receipt with the corresponding Send Receipt.

Message ID (Fingerprint)
(if activated) You and the recipient can match the Fingerprint listed in the message received and in the Return Receipt with the Fingerprint listed in the Send Receipt, providing evidence that the message was received as sent (Online Notarization).

Regulatory Compliance
ZSentry satisfies international, US federal, and US state requirements for regulatory compliance, legally valid digital signature of documents, and document delivery evidence. Evidentiary laws may vary by jurisdiction.

You can use ZSentry Mail (Zmail) for delivering secure documents online to anyone, without previous contact. With ZSentry Mail, the document is sent encrypted to the recipient's email address and digitally signed, so that only the recipient can read it. The recipient also knows that the document was delivered to exactly as you sent it, which can be verified with a message ID (Fingerprint) providing Online Notarization. You can also verify the delivery time and place, if you need to, by means of a third-party verified US NIST timestamp included in Date field of the ZSentry message.

All ZSentry messages, including headers and attachments, are declared by the sender (not by ZSentry) to be copyright-, access- and copy-protected under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act as well as other US and international laws. By using ZSentry Mail, the sender is able to limit the right to read the message to its expiration time and original recipient(s), both technically and legally.

ZSentry Mail satisfies international, US federal, and state requirements for digital signature of documents and secure document delivery, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC), International Standards Organization (ISO) 17799, Gramm-Leach Bliley Act (GLBA), Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), and U.S. State Security Breach Notification Laws. Evidentiary laws may vary by jurisdiction.
