SECURITY
ZSentry Credential Reset & Recovery is provided as a secure self-management service. You are the only holder of the login credentials (your ZSentry Usercode and your ZSentry Password) that grants access to your account. We do not have any username, usercode or password lists stored online or anywhere else. Our personnel do not have and cannot access your login credentials. Our personnel will NEVER ask you for your login credentials, for any reason whatsoever.

What's ZSentry Credential Reset?
ZSentry Credential Reset allows you to keep the same email address and securely reset your login credentials, and your account, in case of compromise or as a security measure. Your current account will be terminated and you will receive a new ZSentry Usercode and Return Code. Since the Usercode will be different, you may use the same Password or choose a new one.

How do I use the ZSentry Credential Recovery?
Go to the login page and click the link for Credential Recovery. When the page opens, first make sure that the web address of the page begins with https://zsentry.com. Enter your ZSentry account email address, your security Question and Answer. Input is case-sensitive, except for your email address. If all three entries match, Your ZSentry Password will be shown to you on the screen, your ZSentry Usercode and Return Code will be sent to your email address. For your security, after three consecutive errors you may need to contact Support Help; the service may no longer respond.

What's ZSentry Credential Recovery?
ZSentry Credential Recovery allows Premium users to recover their original ZSentry Usercode, Return Code and Password in case of loss. THIS SERVICE IS 100% SELF-MANAGED. WE DO NOT HAVE A COPY OF YOUR ZSentry USERCODE, RETURN CODE OR PASSWORD.

What ZSentry Credential Reset & Recovery options are available for my account?
1. Reset Account (all users)
Keep the same email address you already registered with zmail. Works for Basic and Premium. You may choose a new password or keep the same. You will receive an email with your new ZSentry Usercode and Return Code. The account will be securely reset when you login. You can cancel the reset request if you login with your original credentials, immediately after the request. You can also use this service to change your password.
2. Credential Recovery (Premium Users only)
Must be setup prior to use. To setup, log in, expand the top Menu, go to Account / Management and choose "Setup ZSentry Credential Recovery". You will be asked for a security Question and Answer. Your ZSentry Usercode, Return Code and Password will be encrypted using your security Question and Answer as a key. Your security Question and Answer must each be at least 10 characters long. Verification is case-sensitive. WE SUGGEST YOU SETUP THIS OPTION IMMEDIATELY AFTER YOU LOG IN FOR THE FIRST TIME.

I forgot my ZSentry Return Code. What's my RC?
The Return Code (RC) is a three-letter code you received to prevent spoofing and phishing attacks. It is first shown to you in the web page following your registration; the same code is also sent to you in your registration email. When you enter your ZSentry Usercode in the first login screen, the RC is calculated by the website and shown to you, for comparison with the value you know, before you are asked to enter your ZSentry Password. This procedure helps you verify that the web site is legitimate, preventing spoofing and phishing.

What if I forget my ZSentry Return Code?
The Return Code (RC) is a three-letter code you received to prevent spoofing and phishing attacks. You can still login without it, you just must be careful that you are really at zsentry.com and not at a spoofing site -- please make sure that the web address of the login page begins with https://zsentry.com. Rather than following a link (which can be faked, even with SSL and that's why ZSentry uses the Return Code to protect you), you should type it yourself: type https://zsentry.com/zmail/login.html in the location bar of your browser. If you are confident that the zsentry.com site is correct for login, you can use the RC value shown to you as your RC. Also, please do check your INBOX at your registered email address for a message from zsentry.com containing your ZSentry Return Code and instructions. Spam filters may place this email into your SPAM or BULK email folder. You can also use the available ZSentry Credential Reset & Recovery options, as explained above.
