What's zmail?
Zmail is an easy-to-use interface providing email security services for the software and
email address that you already have. Zmail offers 128-bit strong encryption, mutual authentication, a
proven anti-phishing solution, two-factor authentication, and the easiest-to-use user interface on the market.
Zmail assures all parties that only authorized users can encrypt and decrypt messages.
Why is zmail easy to use?
You already know how to use zmail.
You press the button, we do the rest. There is NO download, NO installation
process, NO digital certificates to buy or send, NO changes
at all in your system. Zmail ends the encryption / decryption
hassle that for more than 15 years has prevented the widespread use of email encryption.
Easy to send, even on first contact. Encrypt with 1-click™. You send encrypted zmail
using the zmail web interface, just like Yahoo, MSN and Gmail webmail.
Easy to read, even without login or registration. Decrypt with 1-click™. You receive zmail as a regular
email message at
your current email address, using your current software and service, including Outlook, Mac Mail, Thunderbird,
Eudora, or web mail services such as Gmail, AOL, and Yahoo.
Zmail makes it also easy for you to use in deciding to send a secure email, because you know that any recipient
can read it without cost, installation, and (if you allow it) even without login or registration. You can send
a secure email on first contact, to anyone.
Why do I need zmail?
Are you concerned about email phishing, email disclosure and identity theft? Are you concerned about your email
messages, password and keys being attacked and copied in someone else's —or even your own— "secure server"?
Today, those problems are recognized as major sources of fraud losses and
consumer concern, posing significant challenges to anyone from individuals to large corporations. Those
problems are solved by zmail.
What can I use zmail for?
Organizations can
use zmail to protect their business information and also to protect their customers from
phishing emails; health care organizations and professionals can use zmail to protect the confidentiality of
private and health information in their email exchange; associations can use zmail to send secure ballots for
their members to vote securely without paying postal mail; law firms can send electronic and scanned documents
with zmail to cut down on FedEx costs and time. To track if their email was actually opened, when, where, and how,
zmail users can easily request a return receipt as a condition for the recipient to decrypt their message. Zmail
messages can be further controlled, with release date, expiration date, unforgeable digital signature, and other
features.
Do I need to install zmail?
No. Zmail works using technologies already built into your browser and email software, on Windows, Mac OSX, or Linux.

How do I send a zmail?
Get a Zmail Premium or Zmail
Basic (free, for personal use) account and send / receive secure email in a few minutes. Your subscription
(even your free, personal subscription) allows anyone to read and reply securely to your zmail without cost.
Why is zmail secure?
Zmail manages the encryption, decryption and digital signing of your
email according to strict security policies. Zmail complies with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability
Act (HIPAA), the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC), the International Standards Organization
(ISO) 17799 norm, and other regulations, as stated in our
Compliance
Statement. The anti-phishing, mutual authentication, and two-factor authentication technology used in ZSentry and Zmail was first qualified by the
Swedish Government's Ministry of Justice Statskontoret in 2001. Zmail does not store your keys, password and usercode
anywhere, not even encrypted, so they are not at risk. With a proven anti-phishing solution, zmail prevents email fraud
including spoofing and phishing. Zmail also uses two-factor authentication to protect your password from someone trying
to guess it. Your zmail can self-destruct, after an expiration period set by you. Two-channel authentication can also
be used, with one-time, unpredictable codes provided by OTP or cell phone SMS. Only zmail has this comprehensive
technology. Because only you can use your keys, only you can access your encrypted email address book and decrypt
zmails sent to you.
